2 years practicing on yoga is not a long time ... i am glad that i am still in love with the flowing , Somehow it help me to get through my sadness ,
Like a safe shelter or something i can always lean on .
Today is the 2 years anniversary of the yoga centre , as well as 2 years anniversary on my yoga journey . i am going to join a special class for " arm balancing " on this very special day .
Om ....
P.S : This is the number #555 archives ... woo.woo ..
Thai Yoga Therapy been created centuries ago , it is a dynamic bodywork theraphy based on yoga and Ayurveda ( system of medicine ) .
In this healing system ,the giver guides the receiper through a series of yoga postures with palming and thumbling along the body's energy lines and pressure points .
Such comprehensive full body treatment can help on relives muscular tension , improves circulation , boosts the immune system , balances the body .
From Head to toes , there're more than 25 sequences , fully massage on every point of your body .
I am glad that i joined a most relaxing yoga class i ever been last night . Never thought that you can do yoga postures in such peaceful and relaxing way . Basically it is massage however it combined with some very simple yoga postures to help on protecting your spine and knees .
Found many referable information on internet as well :
i am so excited with this workshop tonight . " Yoga flowing practice + Thai massage skills "
Besides powerful yoga practice , the " Yang " energy . Our body also need some softness and relaxtions , the " Ying " energy . To help healing , finding balance and harmony for our soul , spirit and mind .
Want to try this type of yoga one day . like ball room dance or any kinda dance which involved 2 people , You need lots of trust ,confidence and surrender in between you and your partner .
Sometimes i think a relationship is just like " partner yoga " , there is no giver or receiver in between , so both parties are fully engaged , working together, supporting one another .
The teacher always asked us after class " why yoga ? " ... In the beginner stage , i will properly answer " to lose weight " ... and yes , i found that this is the reason why i start practice . However ... the perspective changed ever since the first class . i am glad that i met a good teacher who said to me on the very first day that " YOGA IS NOT FOR WEIGHT LOSING ! That's something to do in fitness centre not your yoga mat " . Everytime when i try to be lazy student , teacher will push me harder . Everytime when i given a pinched face for some crazy poses , teacher always said " TRY ! " .
Throughout the year of practicing i've learned " trust myself and keeping an open mind on everything new . " ... in between ...of course i also want to give up , i also have puzzling and struggling period ...
The reason keep asking myself back to the mat is the space and a very private moment to concentrate only on one thing , one point . The private moment which only have me and myself .
Her name is Bendy Bette and now in her 83 , she can still did such awesome " peacock position " with the body held horizontal by the hands and arms . She teaches yoga for more or less 40 years and the most important thing is , she still teaches yoga every week . As she said " Forget age , yoga keeps you young " . I wonder if i can still get into a very simple yoga pose considering i stop my practise for about 1 month OR can i do a very simple pose in my age 83 ???
The theme for my practise this month would be " Opening on arms & shoulders " Specially focus on this 2 poses this month , " Chaturange " and " Pincha Mayurasana " .
My left shoulder ( shoulder blade as well ) is my stumbling stone on all yoga poses which needed to use muscles on arms / shoulders / upper back . I found this after my 1st lesson that i can't straighten my left arm up to the air , the teacher said this very tight shoulder caused by using computer or always using only one side of the shoulder for the hand-bag . What i need to do is not attempted to get into the perfect poses but slowly , gently open up that part of very tight muscle ( Of course it takes time ! ) And now , after practising on yoga for sometime , i am still working on this 2 poses while the others can easily get into them. I am not envying the others , i know we all have different body ... Simply like a squat down pose already took my teacher 3 years till her feet can finally touch the floor . Am not hurried myself , i enjoy the processing and discovering on my body little by little , day by day ...
