Search the movie in YouTube and watch it form the begining to the end ,
Is a sad but meaningful movie i can say ,
apart from the beautiful , fantabulous sceneries ...... beaches , dance , sexy gals , etc etc ...
what the movie tell us is the very truth Brazil , they also suffer unemployed / impoverishment / poverty etc ..
Per the latest statistics from the Brazilian government indicate a national unemployment rate of 12 percent in Brazil. In the Greater Sao Paulo this number is much higher: 19.7 percent or 2,000,044 people who should be working are unemployed. In dozens of cities people are going to the streets to decry this situation.
City of God also have its own problems .
The movie pull me back into the reality that we cant only see/look things from its outside ...
Still remember some shooting scenes in the movie .....when Shaggy beend shooted /
Lil'Ze raped the gal / Benny been killed ....
i prause sometime to give myself a break from those sad face .
And i'm glad that even growning up in this place full of robbing / violent .....
Rocket havent become a hoodlum or let himself go but a photographer ,
to capture down what he saw from the camara ....
The last 15 mines of the movie is the most unforgetable scene in my mind of the whole movie ,
YES .... Lil'Ze fall down finally ...the big asshole finally fail and dead .... but what about those kids holding guns ?? They are the 2nd /3rd /4th .......10th Lil'Ze ....and the war will never end ...
This is the most sadness / helpless thing ...
After this movie also reminds me another very sad movie " Kite Runner " which launched in HK last year .
the story in Afghanistan / Kbul , about friendship bewteen 2 little boy .... also telling the truth to audiences how's the real situation in Afghanistan / Kbul .... how ppl fight for living in such historical counties but hell of endless war ....
