I think you probably have heard about the famous Portuguese " Piri-Piri " sauce, used mostly for the grilled chicken. It was probably the Portuguese who introduced the Chilli Pepper as we know it to Europe and the Far East. They were probably also the first to use peppers to create a hot sauce, not hot maybe by today's standards, but nevertheless piri-piri is the Portuguese Original.
My dad actually planted some chilli seeds in some flowerpots, and he even preserve them into flasks as you can see by the following pictures:

How to make piri-piri sauce:

Remove stems and seeds from peppers | |||||||
Grind and mix all ingredients to a fine paste by hand or use a blender or food processor. If you want to go hotter add ground cayenne pepper of pepper flakes to taste. Cook in a hot frying-pan for a few minutes. | |||||||
Store in a sterilized jar in the refrigerator. The flavour will develope over the following week. | |||||||

Wahhh .... seems tasty and easy to make , Besides chicken what kinda meat can match with this sauce ??
Well, basically you can add it to everything you want. I even put it in Pasta sometimes, but i think the best meat for this sauce is Chicken or anyking of poultry
