A ten-year-old love letter ...

A news i read today from " dailymail UK " :

A couple ( Steve Smith and Carmen Ruiz-Perez ) who split in 1993
have rekindled their romance after a ten-year-old love letter was
found behind a fireplace .

The couple, who are both 42, first fell in love while Spanish
Miss Ruiz-Perez was studying English in Paignton, Devon.
They had a year-long relationship and got engaged but drifted apart
when she moved to Paris to run a boutique.



Five years later, in 1998, Mr Smith traced her mother’s address in
Spain and sent a letter in the hope of getting back together.
It was left above a fireplace and eventually slipped behind it.
However, late last year Miss Ruiz-Perez’s mother found it again and
passed it on to her daughter.After reading the note she immediately
phoned the number Mr Smith had written and their romance once again
blossomed during a rendezvous in Paris days later.

In the lost love letter, Mr Smith had written:
‘I hope you are well. I was just writing to ask if you ever married and if
you ever still thought of me? It would be great to hear from you, please
great in touch if you can. Steve XXX.’
He said: "I didn’t write much because I assumed she would be remarried.
I never thought it would take ten years to hear back."

The couple will marry on July 17.And they both said that :
" When we met at the airport it was like a film. Finding each other again
was fate. It is one of those things that was meant to be......
" We met up and fell in love all over again and now we are getting married.
I’m just glad the letter did eventually end up where it was supposed to be."

After this story , i just hope those parcels / cards / letters etc i sent you
OR going to send you won't arrive Portugal 100 years later ... lol
